1. Number of Players - Tarneeb is played by four players divided into two teams.

4. Game Play - Players follow suit, or play tarneeb or any card if unable to follow suit; the highest card in the led suit or tarneeb suit wins the trick.
5. Objective - The main goal is for the bidding team to win at least the number of tricks bid; otherwise, the opposing team scores points.
6. Scoring - Winning the exact bid number scores points; exceeding the bid wins one point per extra trick; failing the bid grants points to the opponents.
